Welcome to Faith Baptist Church
We are a fellowship of born-again believers who are focused on a lifelong journey of genuinely knowing and loving the Lord our God with all of our hearts and loving our neighbors as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:37,29) because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for the total forgiveness of our sins (Romans 3:25).
We believe God's highest ideal for each of us is to have a deep and personal relationship with God through Worshiped-Based Prayer and carefully reading, interpreting, and applying God's inerrant Word to our lives. This makes us disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ who calls to be witnesses to the salvation offered by faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus.
We are conservative, traditional, independent, fundamental, and baptistic in philosophy.
We are devoted to building up the family. We believe one of the greatest discipleship tools for children is the parents who are actively growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We would love for those with a desire to know God on a personal and experiential level to join us in our ongoing pursuit of a relationship with God.

The purpose of our church is to glorify the Lord through our work.
Our vision is to help families to develop the character of Christ through God's Word.
We believe Jesus has given us three mission tasks: we are to teach, worship, and care through ministry and evangelism. The entire ministry of our church centers around these principles.

History of the Church
In January of 1965, a small group of 27 people met to discuss the prospects of organizing an Independent Baptist Church in Ramseur. After a week of prayer, the group settled on the name Faith Baptist Church and called its first pastor, Rev. Richard Gray. The church rented the Brown's Cross Roads Grange Hall until a building could be built at its current location off Highway 22 between Ramseur and Coleridge.
The first church budget of $169 per month was approved on July 14, 1965. In September 1968, the church opened the doors to Faith Christian School. Over the years the church has built, paid for and maintained the buildings and grounds of our 18-acre campus. The church currently sponsors the school along with 10 other missionaries and mission organizations.
Gary Moger came to Ramseur in August of 1979 to teach History, Bible and work with the youth. He began pastoring the church in August of 1983. In 1983 Gary added a Masters of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies from Bob Jones University, and then a Doctorate of Sacred Ministry from Northland Baptist Bible College in 1997. Gary and his wife, Tammy, have two children, Matthew and Andrea, and enjoy spoiling four granddaughters.
