Memory Program

Each week the church bulletin lists a character quality of Jesus Christ and the verse that is associated with each quality.  This information appears in the bulletin for a entire month.  Each member of the church is challenged to commit the monthly verse to memory.  The members then quote their memory verse to their family deacon.  During the annual homecoming service in January, the deacons will recognize those who have memorized their verses for the year.

God tells us in Psalm 119:9, "Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee."  By exercising our minds through memorizing God's Word we arm ourselves with the greatest weapon against our own sinful natures.
